More than 220 traffic violations detected over the weekend in the Vitebsk region

March 13, Vitebsk. More than 220 traffic violations over the weekend revealed in the Vitebsk region. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent in the agitation and propaganda department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

In total, 50 accidents with material damage were registered on the roads of the northern region over the past weekend, including 9 in Vitebsk itself.

Traffic police officers detained four drivers who got behind the wheel while intoxicated , and 19 lawless people. In addition, more than 200 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violations of traffic rules. 20 of them were drunk, 84 people did not identify themselves as flickers at night.

The traffic police reminds all road users of the need to strictly follow the rules.
