Over 200 Pedestrians Charged with Traffic Violations Over the Weekend in Vitebsk Region

Vitebsk Region traffic police officers brought more than 200 pedestrians to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules over the past weekend. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the State Traffic Police Department of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee.

On the roads of the northern region, 31 accidents with material damage were registered over two weekend days, 12 of them in the regional center. Traffic police officers detained 10 drivers in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , as well as 25 people who did not have the right to drive a vehicle.

"More than 200 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. Of these, 29 were intoxicated. 26 pedestrians did not have reflective elements," the State Traffic Inspectorate emphasized.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds all road users of the need to comply with traffic rules and be careful on the roads.
