More than 200 pedestrians received a fine for violating traffic rules in the Vitebsk region over the weekend

September 25, Vitebsk. More than 200 pedestrians received a fine for violating traffic rules in the Vitebsk region over the weekend. A BELTA correspondent was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

In total, over the past weekend, 31 accidents causing material damage occurred on the roads of the northern region, 9 of them were recorded in Vitebsk itself. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate detained 13 drivers who got behind the wheel in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , as well as 20 people without rights.

Inspectors also exercise special control over compliance with traffic rules by pedestrians. “More than 200 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rules,” noted the regional traffic police. “20 of them were intoxicated, 41 people without flickers.”

The regional traffic police reminds all traffic participants of the need to comply with the requirements of the Rules. Drivers are advised to choose a safe speed and distance from vehicles ahead, and take into account weather and road conditions. Pedestrians are urged not to forget about reflective elements when moving at night.
