Minsk . A drunk driver was detained in the Partizansky District of the capital. This was reported to BELTA by the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
During their duty, the attention of the traffic police officers of the Partizansky District Department of Internal Affairs of the capital was drawn to a Geely car moving along Filimonova Street, clearly exceeding the speed limit. The inspectors signaled the driver to stop, but the motorist did not obey their legal demands and continued driving. A few minutes later, the foreign car was stopped on Vankovicha Street. Behind the wheel was a 42-year-old driver with obvious signs of
ALCOHOL intoxication .
According to the results of the medical examination, 2.12 ppm of alcohol was found in the offender's body.
Another case of drunk driving was discovered during the service of the traffic police crew on Vaneeva Street. Traffic police inspectors stopped a Volkswagen car, which was driven by a 47-year-old man. His physical condition aroused suspicion among law enforcement officers.
According to the results of the medical examination,
it was established that the driver was driving the car while intoxicated.
The drivers were suspended from driving vehicles, their cars were taken to a guarded parking lot. Administrative materials were drawn up against the offenders.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds: for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, the measure of administrative punishment depends on the concentration of alcohol in the blood or its vapor in the exhaled air: from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm - 100 basic units with deprivation of the right to drive for 3 years; over 0.8 ppm - 200 basic units with deprivation of the right to drive for 5 years. For committing this violation again within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty, criminal liability is provided.
"We appeal to all road users with a request not to remain indifferent to the problem of drunk driving, to promptly report to the 102 line about drivers who behave inappropriately on the road and create a danger to themselves and others," the State Traffic Inspectorate emphasized.
