"Belgospischeprom": product supplies to China increased by more than 70%

To which countries were Belgospischeprom products supplied in 2023 and what were the results of EXPORT activities, Igor Grutso, HEAD of the department for coordinating the supply of goods to the domestic market and foreign trade activities of the Belgospischeprom concern, told at a press conference, BELTA correspondent reports.

Igor Grutso noted that the main market for the products of the concern’s enterprises is the Russian Federation. About 2/3 of exports go there. Among the reasons are the proximity to the country, as well as similar taste preferences of consumers.


“Last year, significant work was carried out to diversify exports. Thus, supplies to CHINA increased by more than 70%. The main export items to this market are rapeseed oil , confectionery, and alcoholic products. The first deliveries of dry mashed potatoes and baby food were also made. We continue to work to expand product certification in this important area,” emphasized Igor Grutso.

Among other things, he spoke about the growth of exports to a number of countries of the far arc: deliveries to the United Arab Emirates increased by more than 2.2 times, to Vietnam - also more than 2 times, to the countries of Central Asia - by more than 20%, to Uzbekistan - by 90%. “ Exports

to African countries amounted to almost $3 million and increased 6 times compared to 2022. Thanks to this, we were able to take advantage of the emerging price situation in the SUGAR market. Sugar supplies were carried out to countries such as Ghana and Burkina Faso. In addition, to Equatorial Malt was supplied to Guinea, this work continues in January of this year,” said the head of the department for coordinating the supply of goods to the domestic market and foreign trade activities of Belgospischeprom. Belgospishcheprom also supplied alcoholic products to the markets of Mexico and Iraq. Oil was exported to Saudi Arabia and India. Deliveries to New Zealand were carried out and increased by almost 20%. “The geographical structure of exports is quite extensive,” stated Igor Grutso.
