Belarus plans to supply food and pharmaceutical products to Mongolia

September 23, MINSK. The Belarusian-Mongolian economic forum was held in Ulaanbaatar, timed to coincide with the work of the national exposition of Belarus at the 27th international exhibition Ulaanbaatar Partnership. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent at Belinterexpo by the BelCCI.

At the forum, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Mongolia Dmitry Gorelik stressed that the potential for trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia is at a high level. "The trade turnover is growing every year. More than 99% of its volume is Belarusian EXPORT to Mongolia. Especially good prospects in the Mongolian market have products of the food industry, engineering, pharmaceuticals. We are aimed at further active development of trade, including through the participation of our companies in the exhibition in Ulaanbaatar," the ambassador said.

President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia Otgondavaa Amartuvshin thanked Belarus for its interest in the Ulaanbaatar Partnership exhibition. "Companies from Belarus are participating in this event for the third time. At the same time, partnerships between the chambers of commerce and industry of Mongolia and Belarus have lasted for more than 20 years," he said.

Within the framework of the forum, a contact-cooperation exchange (b2b-negotiations) with representatives of Mongolian business and meetings of exhibiting companies with the management of Mongolian companies took place.

27 companies take part in the national exposition of Belarus at the exhibition. The machine-building industry is represented by enterprises of the Ministry of Industry: Bobruiskagromash, Gomselmash, Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant. V.I. Kozlova and BELAZ. The scientific sphere is represented by organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus: the Institute of the MEAT and Dairy Industry, the Scientific and Practical Center for Animal Husbandry, the NPO Center, the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research. The pharmaceutical sector is represented by Belfarmprom holding enterprises: Belmedpreparaty, Borisov Plant of Medical Preparations and Minskintercaps.

Enterprises of the Belgospischeprom concern are also participating. The exposition presents a wide range of meat and dairy products, confectionery, alcoholic beverages and scientific and technical developments from enterprises and scientific organizations of the country.

The organizer of the exposition is the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition operator is the exhibition company "Belinterexpo" of the BelCCI. The exposition is supported by the Embassy of Belarus in Mongolia.
