The Tomsk Center for advanced professional training hosted a training seminar "Issues of rearing young cattle and forage harvesting technology." The workshop was held offline and online.
Practicing livestock breeders of the Tomsk region gathered in the hall of the Center. Remotely, the seminar was attended by students of the Tomsk Agricultural Institute, a branch of NSAU, students of the Tomsk Agricultural College, livestock specialists from the regions of the region.
Opening the seminar, Andrei Knorr, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Agronomic Policy and Environmental Management, noted that a modern farm not only produces good volumes of MILK, but also works in a complex - it pays special attention to the genetic reproduction of the herd and the development of the MEAT business.
“The production cycle on a modern farm must be worked out to automatism. And do not depend on the DIRECTOR or livestock specialist. Each milkmaid or machine operator in this cycle must clearly understand what they are doing and why,” the vice-governor emphasized.
The moderator of the seminar, Alexander Savenko, Deputy HEAD of the Department for Social and Economic Development of the Village of the Tomsk Region, drew the participants' attention to facts and figures. In particular, he noted that for the past seven years the Tomsk region has maintained leadership in Siberia in terms of milk productivity with an indicator of 7630 kg per cow. In advanced farms, milk yields are even higher. So, "Siberian milk" milks 9626 kg per cow, "Dubrovskoye" - 9018 kg, "Bialystok" - 8514 kg, "Agrofirma" Mezheninovskaya "- 8509 kg. Tomsk residents plan to further increase their milk yield. However, it is important to do it wisely, preserving the HEALTH and longevity of the cow, and the economic benefit for the farm.
Together with Oleg Tolmatsky, a specialist of AgroBalt Trade LLC, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Tomsk livestock breeders discussed the issue of protein nutrition of highly productive cows. In particular, they focused on such problems as the danger of the presence of "wild nitrogen" in feed, which causes butyric acid fermentation. We tried to derive the formula for the ideal diet for cattle.
AgroBalt Trade specialist Vadim Molodkin, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, shared his experience in terms of methods for improving the quality of bulky feed, in particular, corn silage.
Valeria Tsvetkova, Deputy General Director of Sivetra-Agro LLC, dwelled in detail on the topic of chronic diseases in cows, in particular, on the issues of prevention and diagnosis of diseases.
Dmitry Preobrazhensky, Director of PTK IBES, continued the topic of maintaining the health of the dairy herd.
The representative of Nutrition Products RUSSIA Nadezhda Filipova popularly explained what are the hidden threats from low-quality feed and how low-quality feed affects the reproduction of the herd.
Within the framework of the seminar, the listeners asked questions to the specialists, discussed all aspects of cattle feeding and fodder production that were of interest to them.
Summing up the meeting, Alexander Savenko noted that such events will always be relevant and useful, as new experience and knowledge are constantly accumulated and improved, and such seminars are the best way to share best practices and exchange information.
