As of January 1, 2022, in the farms of all categories of Kuzbass, the number of cattle is 131.3 thousand heads, there are 373.1 thousand pigs, 68.8 thousand sheep and goats, and more than 7.8 million bird's HEAD.
In Siberian conditions, when winter can last up to half a year, it is very important to make the necessary preparations for keeping farm animals in winter stalls for such a long period of time.
During the summer grazing, agricultural organizations and peasant (farm) livestock farms, as well as owners of personal subsidiary farms, put livestock premises in order - made cosmetic repairs, cleaned and disinfected buildings. The condition of doors, roofs, ceilings, floors, windows, sewer and ventilation ducts was checked, if necessary, insulation was carried out, and straw for bedding was brought in.
In large agricultural organizations, the premises are equipped and renovated according to the latest standards: for example, Vaganovo JSC is switching to robotic milking technology, Chistogorsky SPK LLC has implemented a rehabilitation and overhaul project, and Trudarmeyskaya Poultry Farm LLC underwent reconstruction in 2021 three fattening buildings and two buildings for replacement young animals, after repair, one poultry housing for 30 thousand heads was put into operation at Myskovskaya Poultry Farm LLC. In addition, in the summer-autumn period, farmers carried out forage harvesting. Animals are provided with feed more than 100% of the plan.
“Successful wintering is directly reflected in the future on indicators for livestock production. Comfortable conditions, stocks of feed, timely veterinary measures, as well as the modernization of production are the key to a consistent increase in the volume and quality of manufactured products. The current wintering is going on as usual, ”says Andrey Aritkulov, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass.
