Livestock breeders of Dagestan have moved more than 70% of the livestock from the lands of distant pastures to summer pastures.
In total, more than 1.4 million heads of small ruminants are planned to be removed from distant lands, more than 1 million heads have already been overtaken. Of these, about 200 thousand heads were taken out by road, and almost 850 thousand heads were driven. In addition, 24.2 thousand heads of cattle and 450 horses have been taken to summer pastures.
The farms of Dakhadaevsky, Akhtynsky, Khiva, Shamilsky, Khasavyurtovsky, Kizlyarsky, Kazbekovsky districts have completely completed the removal of livestock from distant lands, and the farms of Kulinsky, Levashinsky, Akushinsky and Tarumovsky districts continue this work.
Cattle driving is accompanied by veterinary and sanitary and preventive measures.
