The Voronezh Region is fully self-sufficient in its own production

At present, the farmers of the Voronezh region continue to intensively prepare for the upcoming field campaign.

This year, 1,820,000 hectares of spring crops are to be sown. Including spring grain and leguminous crops will be sown on an area of ​​802 thousand hectares, it is planned to increase the sown area of ​​sugar beet (the region remains a leader in terms of SUGAR beet harvest), soybeans, and vegetables from the “borscht set” category.

For the upcoming sowing, the region is fully provided with seeds, 122 thousand tons of seeds have already been harvested, which is 113% of the need.

The region is adequately provided with equipment, there are no refusals to supply spare parts.

The region independently provides itself with MEAT and MILK. So, in terms of the production of milk, pork, beef and the number of cattle and pigs, the subject is in 3rd place in the country.

The achievement of such a high result was facilitated by the dynamic development of the livestock industry - by the level of 2020, the volume of production increased by 7.1%. For the second year already, the Voronezh region has maintained high milk production rates, producing more than a million tons per year.

A significant role in achieving success in the development of the regional agro-industrial complex is provided by state support. This year, the total amount of state support for the agro-industrial complex from the federal and regional budgets is 7 billion 536 million rubles.
