On the territory of the region, for the harvest of 2022, winter crops were sown on an area of 818.0 thousand hectares. The condition of winter crops is assessed as good on an area of 482.7 thousand hectares (59.2%), satisfactory - on an area of 332.3 thousand hectares (40.8%).
In the farms of the region, 133.3 thousand tons or 119.2% of seeds of spring grain and leguminous crops were filled for the harvest of 2022, which is 110.9 thousand tons of the plan. All tested seeds meet the requirements of GOST.
Agricultural producers continue to accumulate mineral fertilizers for spring field work. At present, with a need for mineral fertilizers of 356 thousand tons, 355 thousand tons (100%) have been accumulated.
Agrarians of the region continue feeding winter crops. 685.5 hectares or 83% of the plan (815.2 thousand hectares) have already been fed.
In the first decade of this month, all districts of the region started sowing early spring crops. 257 thousand hectares of spring crops were sown (14% of the plan), including early spring crops - 204 thousand hectares or 41% of the sowing plan. Spring wheat (29.2 thousand hectares), barley (155.5 thousand hectares), peas (6.5 thousand hectares), oats (12.1 thousand hectares) and other crops are being sown. 11 thousand hectares have already been occupied under SUGAR beet, sunflower has been sown on an area of 9.2 thousand hectares.
