An innovative seed plant was opened in the Voronezh region and a new line of a meat processing plant was launched

Today in the Voronezh region, the grand opening of the high-tech plant for the production of seeds "Tanais" and the launch of a slaughter line at the MEAT processing enterprise of the AGROECO Group of Companies took place. The events were attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexei Gordeev, Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev and Governor of the region Alexander Gusev.

At the opening of a seed plant that will produce high-quality, localized products, the HEAD of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture noted the positive dynamics of providing domestic agriculture with its own seeds. Their share in the total sowing structure over the past 3 years shows a steady growth, while the quality is also significantly improving. To develop this area in our country, mechanisms of concessional lending are being implemented, as well as reimbursement of direct costs for the construction and modernization of breeding and seed centers and the purchase of equipment.

The capacity of the Tanais plant in the medium term will increase the share of localized sunflower and corn seeds in the Voronezh region up to 75%. it will also have its own breeding research and education center, which will provide an opportunity to train both company employees and agronomists, specialists from farms and large agricultural holdings from all over RUSSIA. In addition, 120 modern highly qualified jobs will be created at the enterprise in the future.

A significant role for the food market of the region is also played by the active development of animal husbandry and meat processing, in particular, the investment activities of AGROECO Group, the largest pork producer in the Voronezh region. The launch of a new slaughter line will increase the output of finished products at the meat processing plant of the group of companies up to 1,100 tons per day. The expansion of the enterprise's capacity not only solves the problem of providing Russians with high-quality meat products, but also contributes to the growth of tax deductions, an increase in the level of employment of the population and, in general, the socio-economic well-being of the region.
