Production of milk, meat and eggs has increased in the Tomsk region

In farms of all categories of the Tomsk region, as of September 1, 2022, the number of cattle amounted to 71.9 thousand heads, pigs - 270.5 thousand heads, poultry - 4,679.5 thousand heads.
In agricultural organizations, compared to last year, the number of pigs increased by 0.5%, poultry - by 6.1%.
In January-August 2022, 107.7 thousand tons were produced for slaughter of livestock and poultry (in live weight), which is 3.2% more than in January-August 2021. MILK production increased over this period by 0.5% and amounted to 99.3 thousand tons. Egg production increased by 9.3% and amounted to 88.2 million eggs.
Organizations remain the main producers of agricultural products. They produced 90.3% of cattle and poultry for slaughter (in live weight), 63.5% of milk.
