In the first two months of this year, agricultural producers in the region produced more than 550 tons of beef. This is 15% more than in the same period in 2021, the Tambov Regional Department of Agriculture reported.
Currently, 7 agricultural organizations and 56 peasant (farm) farms are engaged in breeding beef cattle in the region.
In total, there are 10 thousand heads of cattle in the region.
“We intend to further increase the production of high-quality Tambov beef,” notes the HEAD of the region, Maxim Egorov. – To do this, our companies are switching to the latest cattle breeding technologies, improving the skills of their employees, and attracting new professionals. Breeding plays an important role in the development of beef cattle breeding. Large Tambov manufacturers successfully practice such activities. We will improve it and apply it in small farms. At the same time, it is important that MEAT grown on environmentally friendly feed remains in the region.”
