The results of the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Rostov region in the first quarter of 2022 were summed up and analyzed at a meeting in the Don government.
“The index of agricultural production in the Rostov region for the first quarter amounted to 115% compared to the same period in 2021,” said Viktor Goncharov, First Deputy Governor of the Don region. “At the same time, food production increased by almost 19%, food products were shipped by 68 billion rubles.”
Thus, according to the Don Ministry of Agriculture and Food, from January to March of this year, MEAT production increased by more than 36% to 85 thousand tons. Egg production increased by almost 30% to 396.5 million. The production of MILK in the commodity sector was increased by 2.4%; in general, the volume of milk produced in the first quarter amounted to 178 thousand tons.
it was also noted at the meeting that the number of poultry in agricultural enterprises and farms has increased by almost 10%. The number of cattle and pigs remained at the same level.
In addition, since the beginning of the year, the catch of aquatic biological resources in the Azov-Black Sea basin in the Rostov region has increased by almost a quarter to 2 thousand tons. The commercial fish catch remained at the level of the previous year and amounted to 3.6 thousand tons. Processing in the fishing industry increased by 14% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4.5 thousand tons.
In the food and processing industry of the Don for the first quarter, the production of meat and offal from poultry increased more than 6 times, the production of cereals more than 2 times, by 28% the production of creamy milk and cheese, by 17% and 14%, respectively, the production of unrefined and refined vegetable oil, 10% - cottage cheese and fermented milk products.
“The agro-industrial complex of the Don showed positive dynamics in the first quarter,” Viktor Goncharov emphasized. – The federal and regional state support for the agro-industrial complex contributes to the growth of production indicators. Almost 1.5 billion rubles have already been brought to farmers, which is 80% more than in the same period in 2021. Do not forget that most of the subsidies are transferred to recipients in the second half of the year at actual costs incurred. In addition, concessional lending to farmers continues.”
