In the Kama region, grants are allocated to agricultural producers for the implementation of family farm development projects, which are designed to address employment issues and the development of small forms of farming in the countryside. Over the past four years, 47 projects have been supported, selected by competition, which is carried out by specialists from the regional department.
The main areas in which grants were allocated were the breeding of beef and dairy cattle , the cultivation of rabbits, potato growing, the expansion of the economy for the production and processing of berry crops, as well as fish farming. Funds are directed from the federal and regional budgets on the terms of co-financing. For four years, about 490 million rubles have been allocated from the budget for the development of family farms.
Earlier, the Governor of the Perm Territory, Dmitry Makhonin, noted the importance of comprehensive support for agricultural producers. “We expect that the subsidies and grants for the modernization of production and for the processing of products, which we send to farmers, will help them develop their farms and increase production volumes. We are also trying to invest in the development of infrastructure in rural areas so that people working at the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex have a comfortable life,” he emphasized.
According to the competitive conditions, during the implementation of the project it is necessary to create at least three jobs, carry out activities on the territory of the Perm Territory, and also achieve the planned indicators indicated in the project. Peasant farms operating for a year or more can take part in the competition for a grant within the framework of state support for development.
Grant funds can be used for the purchase of farm animals, equipment, modernization and construction of facilities for the production, storage and processing of agricultural products. The most popular areas are dairy and beef cattle breeding, as well as potato growing, experts of the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kama region explained.
Recall that at the end of 2021, on behalf of the Governor of the Perm Territory, Dmitry Makhonin, the maximum amount of support under the Family Farm Development grant was increased by 1.5 times. The amount of the grant increased from 10 to 15 million rubles. The grant amount is calculated taking into account the amount of own funds invested in the project. The amount of the entrepreneur's own funds must be at least 40%.
One of the first recipients of such a grant was the Tchaikovsky fish-breeding complex under the direction of Yuri Lange, located on the right bank of the Kama. Northern fish is produced here: nelma, muksun, besides this, trout, salmon. 9 million rubles were allocated for the development of the peasant farm. Due to this, the farm managed to attract an additional 46 million rubles to the project. The company continues to develop successfully. Productsis implemented both in the Perm Territory and in neighboring regions - the Sverdlovsk Region, Bashkiria, etc.
“Support for the development of small businesses in the agro-industrial complex is one of the tasks facing the Ministry. And we will continue to carry out such work with a flexible approach to support measures, taking into account feedback from the business community,” said Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex Pavel Noskov.
In general, there are more than 30 state support measures for the agricultural industry in the Kama region, which create stimulating conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
