More than 25.1 thousand hectares were sown in the region compared to last year.
“In the Moscow region , more than 257 thousand hectares of land have been sown with spring crops. Cereals and legumes are sown on an area of 106.8 thousand hectares. Oilseeds - 39 thousand hectares, fodder crops on the territory of 89.8 thousand hectares, ”said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
In addition, open ground vegetables and potatoes are sown on an area of 21.8 thousand hectares.
“In many respects, the good weather and timely preparation for the start of the campaign contributed to the sowing work,” the Deputy Chairman added.
The largest areas were sown by the Serebryanye Prudy urban district - more than 31 thousand hectares, Zaraysk, where sowing was carried out on an area of more than 25 thousand hectares. Also, more than 23 thousand hectares were sown in the urban district of Lukhovitsy.
