On October 8, at the Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2025"Sergey Dvoynykh, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Agrofirma Sosnovka signed an agreement to develop digitalization and establish a pilot site for testing digital technologies at the facilities of the Moscow Region agricultural holding company, JSC OSP Agro.
"Digitalization of the agro-industrial complex is one of the key development goals for the industry in the Moscow Region . We are creating the conditions for the implementation of technologies that will enable agricultural producers to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. We are actively working with farmers in this area," noted Sergey Dvoynykh, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region reports that the agreement is aimed at introducing digital technologies into dairy production. Plans include installing automated accounting and monitoring systems for all stages—from milking to transportation, using sensors and IoT devices to monitor animal HEALTH and productivity, and maintaining electronic records of feeding and breeding data. A pilot site will be established at the agroholding for testing robotic milking systems and early disease detection sensor systems. Particular attention will be paid to microclimate control, data collection and analysis to optimize feeding, animal care, and MILK production forecasting. The project also includes the use of machine learning technologies, the development of digital services for logistics management, employee training on new tools, and the establishment of digital interactions with suppliers, processors, agronomists, and regulatory authorities.
The agroholding "OSP Agro" includes JSC Agrofirma Sosnovka, JSC Enterprise Yemelyanovka in Kolomna, and LLC SP Niva in Serebryanye Prudy. The company owns approximately 18,000 hectares of agricultural land for growing potatoes, vegetables, grains, and forage crops. it also produces and markets milk, breeds cattle , obtains and markets bee products, and develops horse breeding. The agroholding also includes two of its own feed mills and modern storage facilities.
For example, JSC Agrofirma Sosnovka is a breeding farm for Holstein cattle. Its herd exceeds 6,500 HEAD, including over 2,500 cows. Last year, the farm produced 26,700 tons of milk—711 tons more than the 2023 target. JSC Enterprise Yemelyanovka also holds the status of a breeding farm for Holstein cattle. Its herd totals 5,500 head, including 2,000 cows. In 2024,Nearly 21,800 tons of milk were produced in 2024—more than 1,000 tons more than in 2023. SP Niva LLC is a Holstein breeding farm. The enterprise is implementing an investment project to build a commercial dairy farm for 3,000 forage-fed cows. The total investment is 3 billion rubles, with plans to create 60 jobs and reach the design capacity of 32,000 tons of milk per year in the second quarter of 2027.
The Ministry added that nearly 700,000 tons of raw milk were produced in the Moscow Region in 2024. Through the implementation of these projects, this figure is expected to increase by more than 1.5 times by 2030. The introduction of digital technologies will improve the industry's efficiency.
