In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the implementation of an investment project to increase the production of poultry meat has begun

The implementation of a large-scale investment project related to the production and processing of poultry MEAT has begun in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Investments will amount to almost 5 billion rubles.

The project is being implemented by the Russkoye Pole agricultural holding with state support and involves the construction of 42 poultry houses, a feed mill, and the modernization of equipment. The first stage was the construction of three poultry houses in the Pavlovsk region. Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Sanosyan and Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Regional Legislative Assembly on Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development Alexander Efremtsev paid a working visit to the municipality.

“The agricultural holding is an active player in terms of attracting investments in the agricultural sector of the Nizhny Novgorod region. We visited one of the enterprises that are part of the agricultural holding, the Pavlovskaya Poultry Farm. it presents modern equipment and a high level of digitalization. The enterprise carries out serious work on the introduction of lean technologies, increasing labor productivity, which is extremely important in a competitive environment, - Andrey Sanosyan emphasized. – Now the company has started the implementation of another large-scale investment project – the construction of a poultry complex. Its implementation involves the involvement in production not only of the holding's structures, but also of farms that will be involved in the creation of poultry houses. It is expected that over 300 jobs will be created as the project progresses.”

The launch of the first three workshops for keeping poultry is scheduled for early 2022. The volume of investments in these facilities exceeds 160 million rubles. The project is planned to be implemented in stages until 2025.

“We received a grant in the amount of 24 million rubles for the construction of poultry houses, and we also plan to attract a subsidized loan for this purpose under the regional program. This year our poultry farm will produce about 46 thousand tons of poultry meat. The construction of 42 poultry houses will increase the annual production by 22,000 tons,” said Anton Romanov, General DIRECTOR of the Russkoe Pole agricultural holding.

Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that the poultry industry in the region is developing dynamically, due to the growth in poultry meat production.
“Since the beginning of this year, more than 60 thousand tons of poultry meat have been produced in the region, which is 10% more than in 2020. Now the provision of the region with poultry meat of its own production is 60%. We set the task of increasing this figure by modernizing existing poultry farms and building new poultry houses. Since the beginning of the year, enterprises in the region have received about 4 billion rubles in loans on preferential terms with state support for the development of meat-producing poultry farms,” said Nikolai Denisov.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Legislative Assembly Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development Alexander Efremtsev noted that in the near future the committee will consider the development of the poultry industry.

“Together with the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the deputies of the agrarian committee will discuss measures of state support for the long term for the confident development of the poultry industry,” the deputy said.
