In 2024, 25 festivals of farm products were held in the Ivanovo region

At the final year of the “New Year Festival of Farm Products,” 30 local agricultural producers presented their products.
The fair featured confectionery, cheese , dairy products , sausages and MEAT delicacies, smokedfish , bread and honey from farms and processing enterprises of the Ivanovo region.
"Our fairs help local producers in promoting brands and expanding their sales market. This year, with the support of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Ivanovo Region, 25 festivals of farm products were held," said member of the government of the Ivanovo Region - DIRECTOR of the Department of Agriculture and Food Sergei Bubnov.
The HEAD of the agricultural department noted that the most popular events this year were the people's fair "Harvest Day", the fair at the festival "Uvod-Fest" and the festivals "Cheese Rows", which are traditionally held twice a year.
Over the year, at fairs and festivals of farm products, regional producers sold more than seven tons of sausages and meat delicacies, over six tons of cheese. More than 25 tons of vegetables and potatoes were purchased by Ivanovo residents and guests of the city at the Harvest Day fair.
Fair events in the Ivanovo region have repeatedly become winners of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade's "Trade of Russia" competition. Thus, the "Cheese Rows" festival was recognized as the winner in the "Best Trade Festival" nomination in 2020 and 2021, and the "Christmas Fair" as part of the "Russian Christmas" festival in Shuya became the winner in the "Best Fair" nomination in 2021. In 2024 , the "Harvest Day" folk fair won in the "Best Trade Festival" nomination.
Fairs help local producers promote their brands outside the Ivanovo region; farmers from the region present their products at major federal events. Thus, in 2024, the enterprises "Shuiskie Yagody", "Rizhsky Bread", "Puchezhsky Cheese Factory" and "Vasilyevsky Gingerbread" represented our region at the international exhibition and forum "Russia" at VDNKh. In July, Shuyskie Yagody, Rizhsky Khleb and the Pavel Kabanov Crafts House CHEESE FACTORY took part in the Tastes of RUSSIA gastronomic festival at VDNKh. In October, Shuyskie Yagody presented its products at the Golden Autumn gastronomic festival as part of the Agro-Industrial Complex Week.
Products from Ivanovo producers have repeatedly won international competitions. Products from the Shuyskie Yagody farm have won the Berry Industry Grand Prix industry competition at the Berries of Russia International Conference three times. Medals for product quality at the WorldFood Moscow international food exhibition were received in different years by Puchezhsky Cheese Factory and Crafts Sausages. Products from Rizhsky Khleb were awarded gold medals at the Best Product international competition as part of the Prodexpo international exhibition. The Sytaya Dusya farm took second place in the final of the Rural Bakers Cup competition, which took place in Kazan at the end of October 2024.
it should be noted that farm product festivals have been held in the region on the instructions of Governor Stanislav Voskresensky since 2018. Farmers turned to the head of the region with a request for assistance in organizing the sale of their products. All places at such fair events, as well as trade equipment, are provided to its participants free of charge. Many festival participants are recipients of grant support from Agrostartup.
Recall that Agrostartup grants are provided within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives", which has been implemented by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin since 2019. Within the framework of the national project, 132 new farms have been created in the Ivanovo Region over six years.
