The X Interregional Agro-Industrial Exhibition of the Ural Federal District "Agroprom Ural" takes place on September 13 - 15 at the IEC "Ekaterinburg-EXPO".
At the industry forum, scientists from the Ural Agrarian University presented the latest developments in smart agriculture, breeding and seed production, as well as storage and processing of agricultural products.
In particular, promising varieties of vegetable crops, MEAT and dairy products according to innovative recipes, honey from the educational and experimental farm of the university, ecochips, biological preparations based on essential oils and hydrolates from plants, organic fertilizers and unique ameliorants for ecological agriculture are presented at the USAU booth. .
“Today, modern biologically safe and at the same time highly effective fertilizers based on local sources of mineral raw materials and industrial production waste are becoming more relevant. For example, together with the Ural Diatomite Company, we are researching diatomite with various additives as a fertilizer for various crops. The uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that we are studying structureless amorphous silicon, which is well absorbed by plants and has a positive effect on their growth and development. Its advantage is that when applied to the soil, it absorbs moisture and then gradually releases it - especially important during dry periods, which have been observed in the Urals for the second year in a row, "said Mikhail Yuryevich Karpukhin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Ural State Agrarian University, Ph.D.
In addition, among the scientific developments of the Ural State Agrarian University are the study of the effectiveness of the use of non-metallic material "Black Crystal" for mulching and fertilizing the soil, combating hogweed (a joint project with "EMRA TF"); innovative agro-ameliorants for “deacidification” of the soil based on lime and limestone, as well as the fight against cow parsnip (a joint project with Atom); study of the agronomic efficiency of the use of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizers in production conditions (a joint project with PhosAgro-Region).
“Our goal is not just to engage in advanced science, but also to keep in touch with production and implement our developments in practice. After all, for the successful development of the agro-industrial complex, science and business should always be business partners,” emphasized Mikhail Yuryevich Karpukhin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, USAU, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.
Recall that Agroprom Ural is a large-scale exhibition and congress event, which presents modern engineering solutions and agricultural machinery, materials and equipment for animal husbandry and crop production, food products from Ural producers. Leading scientific and agricultural enterprises of Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Kurgan regions, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, YNAO became participants of the X Interregional Agro-Industrial Exhibition of the Ural Federal District. The opening of the exhibition was attended by Plenipotentiary of the President in the Ural Federal District V.V. Yakushev and the Ural governors.
