In the Sverdlovsk region, preparations continue for the All-Russian Field Day - 2021, which will be held on August 12-14 in the village of Kadnikovo. The exposition is dedicated to the advanced technologies of the agro-industrial complex, where special attention will be paid to crop varieties. For clarity, in the fall (winter) and early spring, hectares of fields with crop samples were planted.

According to the HEAD of the Ural Research Institute of Agriculture Nikita Zezin, for the ecological and geographical testing, 54 originators from RUSSIA and foreign countries provided 514 varieties of 25 crops: wheat, barley, oats, rapeseed, peas, corn, potatoes, triticale and others, including breeding varieties Ural Research Institute. The demonstration plots will also feature agricultural plants that are not typical for our climatic zone, such as spelt, spring camelina, fodder cabbage, sorghum and chumiza. Crops occupy 70 thousand square meters.

“Field work at the site of the future site of the All-Russian Field Day began in the fall. Sowing of winter rye, triticale and wheat was carried out. Spring sowing started on April 20 - they closed the moisture, applied fertilizers and already on April 22-23 wheat, barley, oats and peas were sown. On May 12, the sowing of cruciferous crops began, on May 14 - corn, on May 19 - planting potatoes. Buckwheat was sown last, at the end of May - beginning of June. In addition to cereals, legumes and oilseeds, demonstration plots of table carrots and beets have been planted,” said Nikita Zezin.
Scientists of the Ural State Agrarian University will present at the exposition new promising varieties of shallots, winter garlic, and in addition, they will present the technology of industrial seed production of Ural potato varieties using modern robotic DNA technologies and innovative developments in digitalization, robotics and organic farming.
it should be reminded that Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev addressed the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev with the initiative to hold the All-Russian Field Day in our region in July last year. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture supported the idea.

“Field Day is a unique exhibition of advanced industry achievements in terms of format and scale, which can be evaluated in real field conditions. For many years, this event has made it possible to evaluate the pace of technical and scientific development of the agro-industrial complex, promotes the establishment of business contacts and the exchange of experience between market participants, and the identification of “points of growth” for the industry,” said Dmitry Patrushev.

On June 10, at a meeting of the regional Cabinet of Ministers, a resolution was adopted to hold the event. Evgeny Kuyvashev instructed the government to ensure that the All-Russian Field Day-2021 is held at a high organizational level.
