The Rostov Regional Veterinary Laboratory, which is a branch of the Rostov Regional Station for the Control of Animal Diseases with an Anti-Epizootic Detachment (SBBZh with PO), has successfully passed the competence confirmation procedure and expanded the scope of accreditation.
The check was carried out by specialists of the National Accreditation Institute. During the assessment, the experts took into account the professional level of employees, material and technical equipment and documents of the testing laboratory.
Accreditation is the official recognition of a laboratory's ability to perform work in a declared area. The activities of the testing laboratory extend to food products, food raw materials, feed, feed additives, diagnostic material, sanitary and hygienic indicators (washouts) and water.
Based on the results of the assessment, the institution's compliance with the current accreditation criteria was established in full.
The extended scope of accreditation includes 39 positions. These are diagnostics of foot-and-mouth disease, anthrax, classical swine fever, capripoxviruses (sheep and goat pox, bluetongue virus, PRRS pigs), testing for the presence of antibiotics and pesticides in products, assessing the sanitary condition of premises, etc.
Information about this is included in the register of accredited persons (RA.RU.21НР65).
