
In the first nine months of this year, farms of all types in Kabardino-Balkaria produced 92,600 tons of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight, an 8.7% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the North Caucasus Statistics Agency. Livestock farmers
in the Baksan District (+19.4%) achieved the largest increase compared to the first nine months of last year , followed by the Prokhladnensky District (+18.2%) and the Urvan District (+14.4%). By farm category, agricultural organizations accounted for 40.6% of all meat produced in the republic, peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs accounted for 35.2%, and individuals produced 24.2% of livestock and poultry meat (for slaughter in live weight). Each category of agricultural producer achieved an increase in production volumes.
