As part of the educational event of the district department of the agro-industrial complex on July 15, on the basis of the Salekhard historical and architectural complex "Obdorsky Ostrog", representatives of small businesses from the Ural, Shuryshkar, Yamal regions, as well as the cities of Salekhard and Labytnangi discussed the prospects for the development of rural tourism in Yamal.
Veronika Andreevna Yakovenko, a certified entrepreneurship trainer from St. Petersburg, became the speaker of the face-to-face seminar “Agritourism in Yamal”. The developer of author's courses, the organizer of international conferences on tourism, spoke about the existing models of agritourism enterprises, introduced the participants of the event to the most successful cases in this area in RUSSIA.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of servicing tourists in rural areas, the requirements for organizing their accommodation and accommodation. As part of the event, representatives of small agricultural businesses created and worked out their business projects, got acquainted with the goal setting system and the reverse planning method, and learned how to cope with difficulties when starting a business. The outcome of the event was the presentation of future projects by the participants of the event.
In Russia, since 2022, for the first time, a support measure for agricultural producers has been implemented in the form of grants for agrotourism. Entrepreneurs with projects to develop rural tourism can apply for support of up to 10 million rubles. You can send funds for the construction or repair of premises for receiving tourists and the improvement of adjacent territories, the creation of entertainment infrastructure, the purchase of tourist equipment, gear and inventory. Competitive selection for grants is carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
“The new measure to support rural tourism stimulates agricultural producers to develop additional areas of activity, create new jobs, promote their products on the domestic market, maintain traditional craft skills, and ultimately encourages the preservation of the cultural heritage of rural areas,” said the organizer of the event, the HEAD Department for the Development of SMEs of the District Directorate for the Development of Rural Territories Olga Shcherbina.
