One of the state functions of the veterinary administration of the Rostov region is to work with citizens' appeals, in particular, on the treatment of animals.
So, since the beginning of 2023, specialists from the veterinary department have worked out 389 such appeals and 45 CUSP materials. 80% of these materials relate to the issues of keeping pets by citizens, the issues of animals living without owners and the organization of animal shelters.
Since the beginning of the year, 8 inspection visits have been agreed with the prosecutor's office of the Rostov region on the facts of causing harm to the life and HEALTH of citizens by dogs. According to the results of such control (supervisory) measures, owners of dogs that violate the requirementsto their content, issued prescriptions and recommendations.
In order to prevent violations of the requirements for keeping pets, 108 warnings were sent to their owners about the inadmissibility of violating the mandatory requirements of the law.
We also note that some of the incoming applications cannot be considered due to the lack of supporting documents or not confirming the identity of the applicant. Since one of the features of considering applications on the conduct of control and supervisory measures from January 1, 2022 is the obligation of officials authorized to carry out state supervision, taking measures to establish the identity of a citizen and the authority of a representative of an organization, and their confirmation.
