The young peasant farm "Lisy Khutor" from Kolomna near Moscow received state support for growing blueberries, strawberries and raspberries in the open field.
“The farm was allocated a grant from Agrostartup in the amount of 4.1 million rubles. The funds will be used to purchase seedlings, as well as the necessary agricultural equipment. Thanks to this, in 5 years, when it reaches full capacity, the farm will produce more than 80 tons of berries per year,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Now the farm is already growing 4 varieties of blueberries, 2 remontant varieties of strawberries and raspberries, the first harvest is expected this year. Subsequently, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries are planned to be grown on an area of ​​6 hectares.
The farm plans to sell its products both fresh and frozen in retail stores and retail chains, as well as sell them for processing to make purees and juices. Also in the future, the sale of seedlings of berries, the cultivation of honeysuckle and the organization of an agro-tourism zone.
