In the village of Vyakhirevo, Shatura city district, the start-up fish farm "Trout eco-farm" grows rainbow trout.
“Now there are more than 3,000 individuals on the farm, and another batch is expected in the near future - about 2,000 fry from a producer near Moscow. This year, the production volume of the farm will amount to 2.5 tons, and upon reaching the design capacity from 2024, it is planned to produce up to 6 tons of fish annually. The first batch of rainbow trout is being prepared for sale,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
The Trout Eco-Farm received a 3 million ruble Agrostartup grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region. These funds were used to purchase swimming pools and special equipment of domestic production.
The company plans to supply farmed trout to shops and restaurants in the Moscow region.
