A new edition of the List of Biological Products, Biofertilizers and Feed Additives has been published

The Union of Organic Agriculture has published the fifth edition of the List of means of production for organic, biologized and integrated farming and animal husbandry. The market is very dynamic - the assortment has expanded and updated by 40%. The List includes products of 82 manufacturers with more than 640 items, 99% of domestic products.
This is the first and only reference publication for agronomists on biosecurity and nutrition for crop production, animal husbandry, beekeeping, indicating the active ingredients of the product, the problems and tasks that it solves, the presence of state registration and confirmation for use in organic agriculture, direct contacts of producers. Products are segmented by purpose. The arsenal of products is wide - biofungicides, insecticides, growth stimulants, innoculants, destructors, adhesives, biofertilizers, microelements, feed additives, probiotics, immunostimulants, preparations for waste composting, entomophages. These means of production cover the main problems and tasks in crop production, animal husbandry and beekeeping.
The new edition added biopreparations and feed additives for bees, apiaries, equipment for laser growth stimulation, organic seeds. Even the first domestic bioherbicide appeared.
Biological preparations and biofertilizers for use in organic farming are separately allocated, increased requirements are imposed on their production and composition. The standard for which they received confirmation is indicated.
At the same time, all products can be used not only in organic, but also in any economy and region, showing efficiency from the very first year. The biosustainable means presented in the List allow to cope with diseases and pests without the use of agrochemicals, or with its partial replacement, while maintaining profitability and receiving a number of environmental and economic benefits.
“In fact, the List is a visiting card of a new, promising branch of Russian agricultural biotechnologies. Prices for these products in recent years have increased on average by only 5-10% compared to a multiple increase in the price of agrochemicals, which makes them attractive for agricultural producers,” says the Chairman of the Board of the Union of Organic Farming.
Arguments in favor of biosecurity and nutrition are cost savings, an increase in yields and productivity by 10-30%, environmental friendliness of the products obtained, an increase in soil fertility and suppressiveness, plant and animal immunity, a decrease in climatic stresses of plants, and higher quality characteristics. All this against the backdrop of a growing environmental crisis, loss of fertility and rapid degradation of soils, its overconsolidation, growing problems with resistance to active ingredients of agrochemistry (biological products do not have such a problem). And, most importantly, products grown without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers do not harm human HEALTH and the environment.
Today, biological products and biofertilizers are used only on 2% of agricultural land, which is very small. In the first year, up to 80% of our agro-industrial complex can be biologized, resulting in healthy soil, higher yields, productivity and profit. The brake on development is the low level of knowledge of agricultural producers about the effectiveness of such products.
On March 15, the Union of Organic Farming will hold the First All-Russian Online Marathon "Biologicals, Fertilizers and Feed Additives - Health, Economics, Efficiency", where industry participants will talk about how these products work in production conditions, as well as about the results, economic effects.
