The Novosibirsk Region remains the largest food exporter in the Siberian Federal District. In 2021, 839 thousand tons of agricultural products were exported from the region, which is 50 thousand tons more than a year earlier. There are already 60 states among the buyers.
“The Novosibirsk region has a surplus in many types of agricultural products, only the surplus of grain from the new crop is more than 1.5 million tons, they must be sold outside the region - to other regions of RUSSIA and for EXPORT. In addition to grains, a significant share of exports of agricultural products from the region are oilseeds and finished products of the food and processing industry,” said Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture Yevgeny Leshchenko.
Thus, according to the results of 2021, wheat (315 thousand tons for $75.5 million), chocolate (23 thousand tons for $54.4 million), flax seeds (54 thousand tons for $39 million), soybeans (53 thousand tons for $28 million), peas (78 thousand tons for $22.6 million). Barley, oats, wheat FLOUR, rape seeds, beer, bird feathers and down, ice cream are also exported in significant volumes.
Moreover, some types of products showed rapid growth in 2021: exports of corn grain increased from 41 thousand to 6.8 million dollars, rye - from 0.1 thousand to 1.6 million dollars. Exports of barley and flax seeds increased three times, buckwheat and millet doubled. Shipments of soybeans have increased almost eightfold - from $3.5 million in 2020 to $27.5 million in 2021. The export of wheat, oats, leguminous crops has grown.
“In 2020, 789 thousand tons of agricultural products worth $414.4 million were exported from our region, and 839 thousand tons of products in 2021, which is $462.5 million in monetary terms. At the same time, the actual volume of exports in 2021 exceeded the planned target, fixed by an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia on the implementation of the regional project "Export of agricultural products", by almost 20%," said Evgeny Leshchenko.
The main directions of export of agricultural products from the Novosibirsk region, according to the minister, are CHINA , Kazakhstan, Turkey, Mongolia, Vietnam, Latvia and Kyrgyzstan. In 2021, the list of importers reached 60 countries, it was replenished by Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Australia, Somalia, Finland, Portugal, Myanmar, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Cyprus and Montenegro.
