Thus, in the third stage of the introduction of digital labeling of dairy products in the republic, 4 MILK processing enterprises are participating, the level of readiness of which is estimated at 80%, now manufacturers are testing products,” said Timur Vadakhov.
The first stage of labeling started on June 1, 2021, it requires digital labeling of ice cream and cheeses (processed and soft, hard and semi-hard, with noble mold). One milk-processing enterprise of Kabardino-Balkaria started the production of such labeled products from June 1.
The second stage of mandatory labeling began in RUSSIA on September 1, 2021, this includes dairy products with a shelf life of more than 40 days ( milk , cream, yogurt, kefir, butter). There are 3 such enterprises on the territory of the republic, all of them have been producing products since the indicated time in accordance with the labeling requirements.
Marking is the application of a special unique digital code to the packaging, in which information about the product is encrypted, including data on its manufacturer, composition, storage conditions, weight, nutritional and energy value. Labeling is aimed at tracking the path of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer, which ensures not only complete transparency of the movement of goods along the market chain, but also the impossibility of introducing counterfeit products into this chain. Penalties are provided for non-compliance with labeling rules .
To understand to the buyer whether the product is genuine or not, you need to scan the marking code located on the package in the Honest Sign application.
