The first organic atlas in RUSSIA was presented at the 23rd agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2021"
As part of the 23rd agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2021", the presentation of the first Russian organic atlas developed by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Federation Council and Roskachestvo took place. The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management Sergey Mitin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Uvaydov, HEAD of Roskachestvo Maxim Protasov, as well as representatives of the industry community.
The Atlas contains information about all certified domestic organic producers and is designed to increase their awareness among consumers. “Since last year, the Ministry of Agriculture has been keeping a special register of such manufacturers - this is purely Russian know-how, a way to protect against fakes. Today, it already has 88 organizations representing almost all areas of agricultural production that are common in our country,” the Deputy Minister said.
According to him, Russia became the first country in the world with an open registry, ahead of 180 states producing organics. In addition, domestic products are protected by QR-coding, which allows consumers to trace the origin of the product.
