Due to worsening weather conditions, the pace of sowing in the region has slowed down. Nevertheless, the farmers of the Dobrinsky and Izmalkovsky districts began to sow soybeans. At the moment, this oilseed crop is located on 200 hectares.
The area under oilseeds has been increased to 420,000 hectares this year. The largest growth is observed in soybeans: it will be sown on 140 thousand hectares. It is also planned to expand sunflower crops by almost 15 thousand hectares. To date, it has sown 42 thousand hectares out of more than 200 thousand. Rapeseed is planted on 37 thousand hectares. Over 55 thousand hectares have been allocated for it.
The sowing of spring cereals and leguminous crops continues. 170 thousand hectares were sown with spring wheat. Recall that due to the undersowing of winter crops last autumn, the area under it will be increased. Barley is planted on 148 thousand hectares (85%), peas– by 20 thousand hectares (108%). Lupine and oats are sown on 4 thousand and 1.2 thousand hectares, respectively. Corn for grain is sown in 4 districts. At the moment, it is located on 1.6 thousand hectares.
SUGAR beets have been sown on 65,000 hectares. About 115 thousand hectares are allocated for this sweet root crop. Nearly 6,000 hectares out of 12,000 planned have been sown with annual grasses.
