The Leningrad region is completing the preparation of potatoes for planting

In the farms of the region, 13.3 thousand tons of seed potatoes are stored, with a need of 10 thousand tons, the security is 133%.
The region is one of the leaders in RUSSIA in the production of seed potatoes. 20% of potato farms in the region are engaged in primary, original and elite seed production, there are five meristem laboratories in the region. The region supplies seed potatoes to more than 30 regions of Russia.
In the sowing campaign of 2022, it is planned to plant 2.95 thousand hectares of potatoes in the farms of the Leningrad Region (107.3% by 2021). By the beginning of the sowing campaign, the seed fund, fertilizers, machinery are ready, contracts for the supply of fuel have been concluded.
