As part of the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export", initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the agro-industrial complex of the Kursk region continues to increase its EXPORT potential.
As of June 1, 2025, the export of products of the agro-industrial complex of the Kursk region reached 322 million US dollars . In physical weight, the export volume amounted to 386 thousand tons.
The main contribution to the total export volume is made by the oil and fat industry, accounting for 66.8% of the total supply. Sunflower, rapeseed and soybean oils are supplied to various countries, including Belarus , CHINA , Algeria, India and Morocco.
"The successful implementation of the regional project for the export of agricultural products indicates the growing potential of the Kursk region in the international market. A significant volume of supplies of oil and fat products confirms the competitiveness of local producers and the effectiveness of the chosen export development strategy. “Expanding the geography of deliveries to countries in Asia, Africa and the CIS creates a solid foundation for achieving the target of 927 million US dollars by the end of the year,” noted Olesya Plokhikh, Deputy HEAD of the Department of Economics and Development of the Agro-Food Market of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kursk Region.
