Farms in 10 municipal districts of the Saratov region have begun harvesting grain crops

To date, the harvest campaign has started in 10 municipal districts of the region, said the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government -Minister of Agriculture of the region Roman Kovalsky. “The cleaning is carried out by the farms of the Voskresensky, Pugachevsky, Ershovsky, Krasnokutsky, Rivne, Fedorovsky, Engelssky, Dergachevsky, Novouzensky and Ozinsky districts,” he specified.
In total, according to operational data from the regional Ministry of Agriculture as of July 2, 11,221 hectares were threshed in the regionwinter crops . The gross harvest is 20,375 tons, of which winter wheat - 20,265 tons, winter barley - 90 tons. In addition, 30 tons of winter camelina were collected from an area of ​​100 hectares.
Vegetable farms in the region harvested 1,208 tons of early open-ground vegetables, including 435 tons in agricultural enterprises and farms.
Agricultural enterprises and farms (farms) have stored 39.5 thousand tons of hay and 42 thousand tons of haylage for the wintering of livestock. Forage procurement is carried out by farms in 28 municipal districts of the region.
