For the period from 01 to 31 May 2022, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of especially dangerous animal diseases in different countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.
African swine fever was first notified in Nepal (6). Highly pathogenic avian influenza has been reported in previously free Gabon (1) and Iceland (1). In Indonesia (80), an outbreak of FMD has been reported for the first time since 1983. Newcastle disease, which has not been reported since 2019, has been reported in Colombia (7).
African swine fever occurs in Hungary (74), Germany (53), Italy (46), Latvia (25), Moldova (2), Nepal (4), Poland (113), Romania (70), Thailand (5), SOUTH KOREA (15), South Africa (3).
New outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza reported by the veterinary services of Austria (1), Bulgaria (12), Hungary (132), Great Britain (22), Germany (20), Greece (1), Iceland (1), Israel (2), Spain (5), CANADA (60), Lithuania (2), Moldova (1), Nepal (1), Nigeria (2), Netherlands (39), Norway (4), Poland (3), Slovakia (1), usa (175), Taiwan (1), Finland (4), Philippines (13), France (211), Czech Republic (1), Sweden (3), South Africa (2), Japan (14). In most foci, the disease was caused by the H5N1 subtype, in addition, H5N8 was isolated in Israel, H5N5 in Norway. In Moldova, the virus is not typed. In the US and Canada, H5N1 avian influenza has been reported in mammals: foxes, skunks.
New outbreaks of Newcastle disease continue to be reported in Israel (12).

FMD disease was noted in Algeria (4), Zimbabwe (4), Israel (31), Palestine (2), South Africa (24). SAT2 and SAT3 serotypes have been identified in South Africa, only SAT2 in Zimbabwe, and serotype O in Algeria, Palestine and Israel.
An outbreak of brucellosis caused by Brucella melitensis in small ruminants continues in Cyprus (2).
A focus of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis/pustular vulvovaginitis was recorded in Kazakhstan (1).
Anthrax has been notified by Kazakhstan (1) and Sierra Leone (30).
On the territory of Israel (3) new foci of tuberculosis in cattle continue to appear.
CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 has been detected in companion animals in Switzerland (1).
