The preliminary results of the implementation of the regional project "Export of agricultural products in the Kemerovo region" of the national project "International cooperation and export" in the past year have been summed up.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass, the volume of exports of agricultural products exceeded the target ($283 million) by 15.5% and amounted to $326.8 million. This is higher than the level of 2020 by 12.9% ($289.4 million).
“Kuzbass products of the agro-industrial complex adequately represent the region on the international market, this is clearly demonstrated by the increasing EXPORT volumes from year to year. Our products are supplied to 43 countries of the world. The largest volume falls on Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus,” said Denis Ilyin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kuzbass for the agro-industrial complex.
The main exports are products of the food and processing industry: FLOUR confectionery, chocolate, flour, pasta, ice cream, chips, nuts. Among the agricultural products are cereals, legumes and industrial crops. The main increase was provided by the export of SUGAR confectionery (up 12%), chocolate (up 13%), chips (up 28.2%); the export of pasta and spirits has been doubled.
Kuzbass seriously supports its agricultural producers in the search for markets and modernization of production. The regional project also provides financial support. In 2021, it amounted to 64.4 million rubles of subsidies to compensate for part of the costs of rapeseed and soybean production, which were received by 39 agricultural producers that ensured an increase in production by 2019. All this will allow expanding the representation of Kuzbass abroad and will contribute to the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region as a whole. Ultimately, this will provide the Russian and regional markets with quality products, and Kuzbass residents with jobs.
