Thanks to changes in the Federal Law "On Pedigree Livestock Breeding", peasant farms without forming a legal entity and individual entrepreneurs will be able to obtain the status of a breeding farm and provide services in this area.
Now the status of an organization operating in the field of livestock breeding can be obtained only upon the formation of a legal entity. And those who run a farm did not have the right to sell animals as breeding animals.
From September 1, 2022, this law will allow farmers and individual entrepreneurs to conduct activities and provide services in the field of livestock breeding on an equal basis with legal entities, as well as receive state support.
They will need to obtain a conclusion on compliance with the type of breeding farm and be registered in the State breeding register. The state service is provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. For help in preparing documents and clarifications on the requirements for breeding farms, you can contact the RISC OGBU "Agrarian Center of the Tomsk Region".
The status of a breeding farm can be obtained by peasant farms that are engaged not only in cattle, but also in beekeeping, horse breeding, sheep breeding, goat breeding, as well as pig breeding and breeding of other animals.
“There are farmers in the Tomsk region who once brought breeding stock, and if they operate in accordance with the requirements for breeding organizations, they will be able to apply for the status of a breeding farm,” commented Ekaterina Erastova, HEAD of the consulting department for breeding business and reproduction of the herd, professional consultant of the Regional Information and Breeding Center. - The status of a breeding farm makes it possible for a peasant farm to receive state support for the maintenance of a breeding stock, as well as to sell young breeding stock at a better price than a marketable one. However, this opportunity is also a responsibility. Also, pedigree farms are obliged to maintain appropriate accounting and reporting.
