On Friday, May 27, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the XXII All-Russian exhibition of breeding sheep and goats took place in Volgograd.
The event was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Agriculture of RUSSIA Andrei Razin, President of the National Union of Sheep Breeders Kharon Amerkhanov and other officials. The Republic of Dagestan was represented by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Nariman Abdulmutalibov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov, Chairman of the Veterinary Committee of the Republic of Dagestan Magomed Shapiev, President of the Association of Farmers and Agricultural Cooperatives of the Republic of Dagestan Abdurakhman Aburikov, acting. DIRECTOR of the Federal Agrarian Research Center of the Republic of Dagestan Nariman Nimatulaev, as well as heads of livestock farms and scientists of the republic.
As a result of the exhibition, Dagestan breeders won 26 awards: 11 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze. By the number of medals they bypassed all other participants of the review.
In addition, specialists recognized the Chokh agricultural firm in the Gunibsky district as one of the best in the country and awarded it a diploma of the III degree and a cup. The organizers also presented a cup and a diploma to the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of Dagestan. In addition, the choreographic dance ensemble "Gergebil" was awarded a certificate of honor, which adequately presented the culture of the peoples of Dagestan in Volgograd.
Summing up the results of the exhibition, Nariman Abdulmutalibov noted that the Dagestan livestock breeders adequately represented the republic at the All-Russian review.
“Our agricultural producers had the opportunity to demonstrate their achievements in the field of sheep breeding, scientists took part in thematic conferences and round tables, where the problems of the industry were identified. I hope that with the participation of the federal center these problems will be resolved and sheep breeding will be further developed,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov recalled that Dagestan remains the leader of the sheep breeding industry in Russia and assured that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan would continue to support this direction.
“Our republic is a key region of the country in the development of sheep breeding. We rank first in terms of sheep HEAD and the number of breeding farms. We will step up our efforts to develop the industry,” the minister said.
At the XXII All-Russian exhibition of breeding sheep and goats Dagestan was represented by 15 livestock farms from Khunzakh, Gunib, Rutul, Gumbetovsky, Buynaksky, Kazbekovsky, Akhtynsky and Tlyaratinsky regions. They brought six breeds of sheep to the city of Volgograd: Dagestan mountain, Tushinskaya, Lezginskaya, Andiskaya, Edilbaevskaya and the Artlukh merino breed.
