This week the deputy governor of the Lipetsk region visited one of them.
The SUGAR factory in the Yelets region was founded in 1964. Then its design capacity was 5 thousand tons of beets per day. Today, the Yelets Sugar Plant is one of the three leaders in the country in terms of production and productivity. Such achievements are not accidental, because since 2014 more than 9 billion rubles have been invested in the modernization of the enterprise. A modern thermal power station was built, a new silo for bulk storage of sugar was built, and the first steam bagasse dryer in RUSSIA was put into operation. As a result of the modernization, the capacity of the plant was doubled and the cost of production was significantly reduced. In addition, there are 11 hangar-type warehouses and a railway shipment point on the territory of the enterprise. There are plans to increase the number of warehouses to 14. it was also decided to install another bagasse dryer and modernize the washing department. The company produces sugar from sugar beets,
Nikolai Gatsura, executive DIRECTOR of the Yelets sugar factory, said that the company has been accepting sugar beet for several days. It will reach the level of production capacity of 1800 tons of sugar per day in the coming days. But even now warehouses are replenished very dynamically, so there is no need to talk about a shortage of sugar this season. It is planned to process 1.3 million root crops. The advantage of the plant is the presence of its own beet zone. The company also has its own modern laboratory, where the quality of raw materials is monitored.
In total, four Lipetsk factories that have started work have produced more than 30,000 tons of sugar to date. More than three hundred thousand tons of beets of the new crop were processed. Two more plants are planned to be launched in the near future.
“The enterprises of the region continue to work and develop,” Igor Kremnev summed up the trip. - The yield of sugar beet is a quarter more than last year. There are good prospects for producing such a volume of sugar that will allow us to fully provide our region and many others with this product. In addition, we will develop exports.”
