For the harvest of the current year, 45.3 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown in the republic, of which 30.15 thousand hectares were sown for grain, including: winter wheat - 27.3 thousand hectares, winter barley - 2.9 thousand. ha., winter rapeseed for oilseeds - 15.1 thousand ha.
Fertilization of winter crops was carried out on the entire area - more than 45 thousand hectares. Provision with mineral fertilizers to date amounted to 80%.
Sowing of spring grain crops has begun in the Mozdok region. Agricultural producers of other regions of the Republic are waiting for the weather to set in order to start sowing.
This year, spring sowing will be carried out on an area of ​​more than 143,000 hectares.
For the harvest of the current year, a structure of sown areas has been developed, which provides for an increase in the share of the most popular crops. it is planned to allocate 106.2 thousand hectares for spring cereals and legumes, 2.8 thousand hectares for potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, and 7.5 thousand hectares for fodder crops.
To date, the provision with seeds of grain and leguminous crops is 91%, slightly lower than the provision with corn seeds. This year it is planned to sow most of the corn acreage with hybrids of domestic selection.
The Republic is provided with planting material for potatoes by 91%.
“Priority in the preparation of equipment is given to tractors and units that will be involved in the course of spring field work. Troubleshooting of equipment has been carried out in all farms, the necessary spare parts are being purchased. 1196 tractors will be involved in field work. Their readiness is 92%. There are 433 sowing units for sowing. Their readiness is 93.3%. There are 490 of 507 plows available on the farms on the line of readiness. Their preparation is at the final stage. 490 cultivators are ready,” Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Igor Kadzaev said.
