Agrarians of the Penza region started harvesting sugar beets

In the Penza region, as of the reporting date, the gross harvest of grains and legumes is 2.05 million tons. The average yield in the farms of the region is 26 q/ha. According to this indicator, the Penza Region is the leader of the Volga Federal District.

According to operational information, 905.5 thousand tons of winter wheat were harvested in the region with an average yield of 27 centners per hectare, 682.3 thousand tons of spring wheat with an average yield of 25 centners per hectare. In the Penza region, 345.3 thousand tons of barley were obtained, the average yield is 28 centners per hectare.

Industrial crops in the region's farms have been harvested from an area of ​​37,000 hectares. Farmers have started harvesting SUGAR beets. The first cleaning began in the Kamensky district. Sugar beet harvested from an area of ​​529 hectares, the gross harvest at the reporting date was 17.5 thousand tons. This year, agricultural producers will have to harvest sugar beets from an area of ​​53.9 thousand hectares.

Sunflower harvesting is underway in 4 districts of the Penza region - Bashmakovskiy, Lopatinskiy, Maloserdobinskiy, Nizhnelomovsky. Sunflower harvested from an area of ​​2 thousand hectares, threshed 3.2 thousand tons. In total, sunflower will be harvested this year from an area of ​​327.6 thousand hectares.

In the Penza region, as of the reporting date, winter crops were sown on an area of ​​174.8 thousand hectares.
