A harvesting campaign has started in the Novosibirsk Region. The Ministry of Agriculture of the region began to receive the first reports from the fields. Threshing of grain and industrial crops has begun in two districts of the region, and potatoes and vegetables are being harvested in another district.
As of July 29, 100 hectares of camelina and 100 hectares of winter wheat in the Tatar region, 150 hectares of winter wheat in the Kupinsky region, 12 hectares of potatoes and three hectares of vegetables in the Orda region were harvested in the Novosibirsk region.
In total, the region's farmers will have to harvest grain and leguminous crops from an area of 1.5 million hectares this year, industrial crops - from an area of 354,000 hectares, vegetables and potatoes - from more than 4,000 hectares. Recall that during the 2022 sowing campaign, the area of spring sowing in the Novosibirsk Region was increased by 108,000 hectares compared to last year, and as a result, the total sown area increased by 84,000 hectares to 2,390,000 hectares. This is a much larger increase than was planned before the start of the sowing campaign.
State support for farmers, including during seasonal field work, is provided within the framework of the state program “Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Food Markets in the Novosibirsk Region” approved by the government of the region. The program contains more than 40 different areas of support. Since the beginning of 2022, 3.2 billion rubles have been transferred to agricultural producers in the region.
