The harvest of grains and legumes in the region has begun in 18 out of 21 districts.
According to operational data, all municipalities have gone to the fields, with the exception of Ibresinsky, Mariinsko-Posadsky and Morgaushsky. From an area of ​​6.4 thousand hectares, 19.9 thousand tons of grain were threshed, including 16.3 thousand tons of wheat with an average yield of 34 c/ha.
In the Kozlovsky and Krasnoarmeysky municipal districts, 18 hectares of vegetables were harvested, the gross harvest amounted to 165 tons; in the Batyrevsky and Krasnoarmeysky municipal districts, 16 tons of crops were harvested from 13 hectares of garden strawberries.
Forage procurement continues. 77.1 thousand hectares of perennial grasses were mowed, 75.6 thousand tons of hay, 251.9 thousand tons of haylage and 7.4 thousand tons of silage were harvested. In total, 14.9 centners of feed units were prepared per conventional HEAD, with a plan of 26-28 centners.
Farmers have already begun preparing for the next season. In 16 municipal districts, with the exception of Kanashsky, Komsomolsky, Mariinsko-Posadsky, Morgaushsky and Shemurshinsky, 31.7 thousand hectares have been prepared for sowingwinter crops .
Previously Deputy Prime MinisterMinister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov reported that the sown area in all categories of farms in 2024 amounted to 546.24 thousand hectares or 100.04% of the 2023 level. 289.1 thousand hectares were allocated for grain and leguminous crops, industrial crops - 44.9 thousand hectares, potatoes - 17.1 thousand hectares, vegetables - 3.4 thousand hectares, forage crops - 191.7 thousand hectares .
