Zelensky said he had imposed special sanctions against Russia

The sanctions , according to Zelensky, affected financial and cryptocurrency schemes. Among the legal entities affected were companies associated with mining and investments. Moscow considers the sanctions illegal and emphasizes that pressure is useless Volodymyr Zelensky

Ukraine has introduced “special sanctions” against RUSSIA aimed at financial schemes, “including cryptocurrency ones,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on his TELEGRAM channel.

"In general, the package today includes sanctions against 60 legal entities, and we will work with our partners on each one to combine sanctions - ours and European, ours and other significant jurisdictions of the world. The package also includes 73 individuals, all of whom are citizens of Russia. We will also synchronize sanctions on them," he specified.

The organizations that have been sanctioned include the Russian Industrial Mining Association, Kuzbass Mining LLC, VTB Capital Trading LLC, T-Projects LLC, PSB Innovations and Investments LLC, and others. There are also foreign companies (for example, registered in Cyprus and the UAE).

On June 21, the Ukrainian president announced a “month of special measures” aimed at increasing pressure on Russia. In addition to tightening restrictions both on the part of Kyiv and its partners, the HEAD of state announced the allocation of more resources to different types of drones and changes in the composition of the country’s management team and diplomatic corps.

The European Union has not yet adopted the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, with Slovakia standing in the way. it is expected that the price ceiling will be loweredoil  from $60 (effective from 2022) to $45 per barrel. In addition, a ban on transactions with the Russian Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines (after the explosions in 2022, only one line of the second survived) and banks that circumvent the restrictions may be introduced.

The US position on new restrictions against Russia remains unclear . The country's Senate has developed a project that proposes imposing duties on goods coming to the US from countries that buy products from Russia and do not help Ukraine , in the amount of 500%. The country's President Donald Trump has not clearly stated his opinion on the new sanctions.

Russia condemns the introduction of restrictions, it considers them illegal. Those who initiate sanctions should ask themselves whether the measures help resolve the conflict between Moscow and Kiev, the Kremlin pointed out.
