Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions against a number of Russian companies. it was published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The sanctions affected 87 entities: 52 individuals (Russian citizens) and 35 legal entities (34 of them are tax residents of RUSSIA, 1 of CHINA ).

These include suppliers of machine tools and other equipment for Russian defense industry enterprises, as well as transportation companies, communications companies, and chemical companies associated with the Russian defense industry. Specifically, the Gonets satellite system and the Institute of New Carbon Materials and Technologies joint-stock company were sanctioned .

Zelenskyy's decree of June 27 put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine "On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)."

Western countries and Ukraine began imposing sanctions against Russia in response to the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the start of military operations in Ukraine in 2022. Russia considers the sanctions illegal.

In June 2025, Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against the Artek camp in Crimea, the Russian "Movement of the First," and the "Knowledge" society. The sanctions list also included other Russian organizations, including Melitopol State University, the regional branch of the "Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation, and Navy of Russia in Sevastopol," and the All-Russian public organization of marines "Typhoon."
