Almost 30% of the elevators installed in Russia last year were brought from abroad, a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade told RBC. Elevators from far abroad countries (Europe, the usa and other Western countries) accounted for 13% and another 15% for Belarus, the department noted.

Russian developers using European and American elevators in their projects have already begun to look for analogues, and manufacturers - ways to localize the missing parts. But in the production of elevators in Russia, about 30% of imported components, warns the general DIRECTOR of the association "Russian Elevator Association" Peter Kharlamov.

What foreign elevators are no longer imported into Russia

Western companies, including elevator manufacturers, have begun to halt supplies to Russia in response to the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. In total, according to Fortune's calculations, since February 24, when the special operation began, 165 foreign companies have completely stopped working in Russia, 186 companies have suspended operations, and 26 more have reduced some operations and announced a halt in investment.

American Otis last week stopped accepting new orders for elevators and escalators. The company assured that they would continue to fulfill existing agreements and “to the extent possible” provide equipment maintenance services. According to Otis, the share of Russia in the company's revenue is about 2%.
