The EU agreed on sanctions against Belarus

The Committee of Permanent Representatives of the European Union agreed on a package of sectoral sanctions against Belarus. This was reported by sources of RBC, TASS and RIA Novosti. The list is expected to be published in the official journal of the EU after approval by EU leaders at the Brussels summit on 24-25 June. The previous package of sanctions against MINSK was introduced on June 21.

Earlier, a package of sectoral sanctions against Belarus was agreed upon by the foreign ministers of the EU countries. According to one of the EU diplomats quoted by DPA, the restrictions will also affect the EXPORT of potash and petrochemical products to the EU, as well as the financial sector of Belarus.
