The Ministry of Industry and Trade has adjusted the list of goods for parallel imports and sent it for registration to the Ministry of Justice, said the HEAD of the department, Denis Manturov, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, Lego is planned to be added to the list, and a number of brands, in particular Duracell and Merries, on the contrary, will be excluded.

“This [parallel import] mechanism works. Not so long ago, we submitted an amended list to the Ministry of Justice. Companies that continue to supply their products to our market and have not left the market have also been removed there. Therefore, we excluded them from this list. On the contrary, Siemens and BMW are included, those who demonstrate their position and do not supply their products to our market,” the minister said.

Manufacturers propose to exclude cosmetics from parallel imports Business

Since the end of February, more than a thousand foreign companies have suspended or stopped their work in Russia, according to the calculations of the Yale School of Management. In addition, Western countries have restricted imports to Russia of a number of goods, including luxury clothing and perfumes, products made from iron, steel and other metals.

In this regard, Russia has partially abolished the responsibility for parallel (gray) imports, that is, for the importation of original goods into the country without the consent of the copyright holder, which was previously banned. As clarified in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the permit will affect the products of only those enterprises that have stopped or suspended work in Russia. In particular, the initial list of such goods included electronics (APPLE, Samsung, Asus, Intel, Sony, HP), automobiles (Jaguar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and others), rare earth metals, sports equipment, motor fuel, railway locomotives and rolling stock, boats and other products.

Lego was not on this list. In early March, the Danish company suspended the supply of toys to Russia due to "the consequences of sanctions and unpredictable conditions" of work. Three months later, in early June, part of the chain's stores closed.
